The Lowepro Passport Sling is an extremely simple bag, but don’t let that put you off because it’s also very well designed. Being a sling means you can wear it in a number of ways, including across your back, chest, under the arm or down by the hip. There are also a few pockets inside and out for carrying personal belongings and a handy water bottle pocket. The jewel in the crown has to be the expandable compartment that adds around 30% more space in the bag – perfect for stowing away a jacket or anything you pick up during the day.
This lightweight sling-style bag carries a small amount of kit – a DSLR and a lens or two, making it ideal for holidays and days out etc. This fits neatly into a padded camera box that’s held in place inside the bag with Velcro so it can be easily removed. Take the box out and the sling can be folded down flat and will fit inside another bag or suitcase – perfect when travelling on a plane where luggage space is at a premium.
The Lowepro Passport Sling is quite unique and a very attractive option for a second bag. It doesn’t break the bank and has room for a basic day’s shooting and other belongings. The bag will take a semi-pro DSLR with a lens but not a battery grip, with no space for other accessories. You could put kit in the section next to the camera box but it wouldn’t be padded. There’s no raincover either, but this certainly isn’t a deal breaker.
A truly unique bag that’s competitively priced. Perfect for days out and taking on holiday.
