National Geographic Australia Messenger M camera bag

Though not the largest in test, it uses its space exceptionally well. The internal area can fit a DSLR and medium-sized lens as well as two further lenses, and small accessories can be stored in the mesh compartment. High-quality, thick padded Velcro dividers allow you to customise your setup and there’s an area for an 11in laptop or tablet.

There’s a zipped compartment on the back, which is the width and height of the bag. On the front is a large zipped compartment for more accessories, all hidden by an earthy red Italian leather flap.

With a weight of only 930g (lightest in test), this is perfect for style-conscious street-shooters, though we found the textured padding on the shoulder strap caused some rubbing with prolonged use. It’s also lacking the dedicated SD card slots of others in test
