Here's our concise review of the travel-friendly Manfrotto Pixi Evo
The Pixi Evo may be considerably cheaper than the other tripods on test, but don’t let this put you off. Constructed from aluminium, this tripod is exclusively for table-top or ground-level work, with a maximum working height of 20cm. It doesn’t have the same flexibility that the rest of our line-up boast, but is surprisingly sturdy and can hold a whopping 2.5kg of gear.
Manfrotto's Pixi Evo features two base heights
All three legs can be extended via push buttons, though there are no adjustable increments throughout the range. A switch on the side also lets you choose between the two base heights by allowing the legs to spread out slightly further, dropping the height to 10cm. However, there’s no way to secure the height anywhere in-between.
The built-in ball head allows for a full 360° rotation, as well as a 90° tilt to enable you to shoot in portrait orientation.
