Nest’s Hiker 30 is the smallest bag on test, but still has enough room to house a DSLR with medium-size lens and two additional medium lenses...
Though not as grand as others here, it’s perfect for when you need to be size conscious.
Extremely thick padded dividers mean your gear is well protected from the sides and bottom. The top flap doesn’t include any padding, though it does have a quick-access zip to grab your gear in an instant and a sturdy clip system. The padded tray in the main compartment is removable, so you can use it for cameras or just for personal items on a day out, while the compartment’s rear pouch is perfect for a 10in tablet or laptop.
The waterproofed exterior is home to four pockets, two at the side, a wide zip access at the rear and a Velcro secured one at the front. Inside the latter there are separate areas for smaller items, such as batteries or memory cards.
While it isn’t as feature-rich as others here, it’s a very sturdy choice for the casual shooter.
