Yongnuo YN560 III

Although it has always been viewed as a cheap brand, it actually represents amazing value for money.

The YN560 III flashgun doesn’t benefit from quite the same build quality as others here, but GN 58 at ISO 100 and 105mm makes it one of the most powerful. It doesn’t support TTL, so you’ll need to work out and input the power manually, though this is actually great for those wanting to learn more about flash.

The head offers a focal range between 24mm and 105mm, and power in increments of 1/1 to 1/128. Both can be seen on the large, illuminated rear screen.

Each YN560 can be used as a trigger or a slave unit, allowing you to set up multiple flashes (at up to 15m) without additional triggers, and recycle time is impressive, from just 3sec between each full power flash. A power port for an external battery pack is included, and when set below 1/8 power will support burst shooting of speeds up to 8fps.
