Nikon Coolpix A900

This premium compact superzoom from Nikon is the perfect camera for casual photography enthusiasts. Featuring a monstrous 35x optical zoom lens, it gives a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-840mm. The 1/2.3in sensor is capable of producing 20MP JPEG images (sadly, it doesn’t support RAW), as well as giving you full manual control and a blistering 10fps continuous shooting speed to get the most from your scenes. The 3in 921k-dot (non-touch) screen looks great, displaying vibrant colours and a great tonal range, as well as tilting to 180º.

The native ISO is 80-1600, but expands to 3200, though the quality does drop from ISO 1600. Even so, this is more than enough to keep shooting into dusk, especially with the 5-Stop VR image stabilisation and in-built flash. It also includes 1080p Full HD video an Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to allow you to connect to Snapbridge, in case you feel the need to instantly share your shots to social media or jealous friends.
