If you’re looking for a fast, portable hard drive, the Lexar pro Workflow DD256 could be the perfect solution.
The Lexar Pro Workflow DD256 is a portable hard drive with a difference. Not only is it small enough to slide into your pocket, it’s a solid-state drive with no moving parts. This makes it more robust than a mechanical drive, and faster. The unit can be used either independently via its USB 3.0 connection, or as part of Lexar’s modular ‘Professional Workflow’ system, where drives slot together into a hub. With a top read/write speed of 450/245MBs, the DD256 is very fast, so it’s ideal for photographers who need to transfer large quantities of data. The LEDs at the front of the compact casing provide a helpful indicator of the remaining space available on the drive.
With an RRP of £119, it might not be the cheapest way to back up all of your images compared to a traditional hard drive, but it’s a fair price for an innovative and high performance option. Plus, it’s perfect for photographers on the go.
