Terms and Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “The Great British Treasure Hunt in association with Fujifilm”. These terms should be read with our general competition terms which also apply to this Competition.
1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN:
There will be one clue per location in magazine (December, January and February issues) and a further 9 clues per camera on Facebook.
The prize winner’s will be those persons who are the first to find the box in their chosen location, and email the code and magazine code to firstname.lastname@example.org to claim the prize. If the prize was stumbled across without solving the clues and the correct codes are given we will honour the prize.
There will be four possible winners, each of which will be the first person to send both codes from their chosen location to the email stated above.
2.Entry Platforms and Costs:
(A) Social Media – Non-magazine clues will be revealed on Facebook in the first instance, though may be promoted on our other social media channels.
(B) In Practical Photography magazine – 3 clues (Dec, Jan & Feb issues).
(C) Email email@example.com with both codes, followed by your name, phone number and email address.
The competition is free to enter, however Bauer Media will not cover any additional costs to find the location of the cameras.
Non-magazine clues will be revealed on Facebook in the first instance, though may be promoted on our other social media channels.
The hashtag #XHUNT – we have no control over what’s posted, nor do we take responsibility for any offensive content posted with this.
Start Date and End Date. From 26th October 2017 (in magazine) first clue to be announced on 27th October 2017 at 19:00pm (Start Date). If the boxes aren’t all found on 26th January 2018 (1 week after the final clue) we will then release an easier clue. The competition will officially close 28th Feb 2018 23:59pm (End Date).
Bauer Media have the right to cancel this competition at any time without notice.
Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.
Winner Announcement. The name and the home town of the winner(s) will be announced when a box has been found. This announcement may be made online, social media and in mag. By entering, you express your willingness to participate in publicity if required.
5. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS:
· Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
· Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.
· It is not open to persons who are currently employed within the photographic manufacturing, public relation, marketing, publishing, tourism or retail industries which are currently operating or have operated in conjunction with Practical Photography, Bauer or Fujifilm in the last 6 months.
6. THE PRIZE:
There are four Fujifilm X-Series Camera’s each of which is assigned to a ticket at an individual and specific location. Each ticket bears a unique code that must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org alongside the magazine code, your name, number and address.
The Prize is provided by FujiFilm, we are not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery. There is no guarantee that the camera’s shown in mag, social media and on the website will be the same colour as the cameras shown are available in other colours. Fujifilm also retain the right to alter the lens combination and prize value at their discretion, without any notice.
RRP’s are correct as of 26th October 2017 and Fujifilm reserve the right to change RRP’s but no cash alternative will be given.
Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.
1. DATA PROTECTION.
Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. For more details, see: http://www.bauerdatapromise.co.uk/.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS.
By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our magazine or any other magazine which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs or video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and/or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.
a. Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.
b. Participants may enter more than once.
c. If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
d. We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you email to enter
e. You are responsible for all costs of entry.
f. We are not liable for nor guarantee any location will be disability compatible.
g. As far as it is lawful to do so, we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
h. We reserve the right to cancel/ amend/ end / suspend the competition at our discretion without prior notice and without honouring existing prizes.
i. Neither the promoter nor Fujifilm accept any responsibility for personal injury in pursuit of the prizes, nor in the act of following the clues.
j. Neither the promoter nor Fujifilm take responsibility for the loss or damage of the prizes in transit.
k. The promoter and Fujifilm strongly advise you to not take risks in the pursuit of any prizes, nor whilst following any clues.
l. In the instance of a dispute, the promoter will have the final say in regards to a resolution.
m. This competition is not endorsed by Facebook.
n. Neither the promoter nor Fujifilm guarantee a winner from the clues.
o. No substitutions or cash alternatives will be made available for the prizes.
p. The redemption ticket has no redeemable value other than for the prize to which it has been assigned.
